We know — there’s a lot of churches out there, each with their own distinctions and doctrinal differences. So what makes Topsham Baptist Church special? Here’s three reasons.
Timeless
We believe that a healthy church doesn’t chase trends, whether they be cutting-edge fads of the present or some unhelpful traditions of the past. Instead, our church services transcend time and trends of all kinds as we faithfully meet, sing, learn, pray, give, share, and otherwise participate in life together. As the Bible and the Gospel are timeless, we try to be, too.
Truthful
We are a church that loves the truth and holds to it, even when it isn’t always popular. We’re living in days where truth is either subjective or non-existent in the public square, to be sure, but we believe that we have a divine responsibility to lovingly speak, believe, and fully live out the unchanging truths of the Bible, no matter what. It’s more needed than ever.
Transformative
We agree with the Scriptures that a true faith is a living faith that transforms and renews lives. We believe that when God’s Word is faithfully preached, taught, read, believed, and obeyed, lives are changed and people flourish. We believe that as we follow Jesus in our daily lives, we become like him in how we think, feel, live, and respond to the world around us.
